Nature's Nest Preschool

Nature’s Nest Preschool is a unique outdoor/indoor home-based preschool that provides children with the opportunity to explore nature on a daily basis, while offering inclusive and personalized learning opportunities within a small class size of 6 students. It is a nurturing environment that inspires children to reach their full potential by discovering and pursuing their own interests. A place where imaginations can run free and where creativity can thrive. Nature’s Nest is dedicated to fostering positive attitudes and relationships to developing happy, healthy children.

Nature’s Nest offers age-appropriate programming with both structured educational opportunities and learning through play. Programming supports the social, emotional, intellectual, physical, and creative needs of each child. A balance of structured activities and freedom to explore will allow your child to thrive and will give each child the opportunity to challenge themselves and to develop their confidence, self-esteem and sense of self-worth. Teachable moments are seized and celebrated to further foster success in future learning and to support kindergarten readiness.

With a nature reserve behind the preschool, and walking paths adjacent to the river, opportunities to discover and explore the natural environment are limitless. Half the preschool programming will take place outdoors while the other half will take place indoors. Indoor programming includes an exploration of centers such as sensory bins, sand and water tables, dramatic play, and blocks/building materials. Depending on weather conditions, activities such as circle time, story time, crafts, science play, math games, and language skill activities will take place indoors and outdoors. Nature’s Nest has an open-door policy and greatly values communication with parents.
